In line with enactment of the STOP Act* in the US, the United States Postal Service (USPS) announced that failure to submit custom clearance information in advance may result in the return of registered items destined to addresses in the US or significant delays at Customs and Security Control starting January 1, 2021.

  • A law that obligates the USPS to provide US customs with advance notification of customs information on international parcels sent to the US as an anti-terrorism measure as well as to prevent illegal importation of illicit drugs and other items.
