Conditions/Precautions for Use
- Handling of small packets differs from international parcels in the following ways:
- The recipient’s address and other details should be written directly on the surface of the package. International parcel labels cannot be used. (Click here for instructions on filling in the recipient’s information.)
-
A small packet is, like a letter or postcard, an ordinary postal item, therefore it cannot be sent registered. If registration is required, please use the optional registered mail/advice of receipt service.
- The words “Small Packet” (or “Petit Paquet”) should be written in the upper left corner of the address side of the packet (or below the name and address of the sender if applicable).
- The packet can be sent sealed or unsealed.
-
Regardless of whether or not the mail includes dutiable articles, a CN22 Customs Declaration Form should be affixed to the packet.
