Description of Contents
When shipping goods overseas, a customs declaration form must be completed.
When filling out the labels provided by Japan Post, including the customs declaration forms, please provide accurate information, giving due consideration to the following.
When the included information is not accurate, customs inspection procedures in the destination country may take longer than usual or the mail may be returned or confiscated.
How to write contents
Write the product name, quantity, weight, the price of the articles in English ,French or the language commonly used in the destination country.
- Be sure to attach the required invoices and other documents.
- When you need more space, please use the Customs Declaration Supplementary Form.
Be advised that the sender is liable for the information provided on the customs declaration form, and Japan Post will not be responsible for any information required by Japan Post's International Mail Provisions Article 96.

Bad Example of Description
1.When the information is written only in Japanese.
2-1.When the information is written in English but part of the required information is missing, such as the quantity of articles.
2-2.When the information is written in English but part of the required information is missing, such as the quantity of articles.
3.When the information is written in English, but the description is too vague.
