Resumption of Acceptance of Mail to the United States |
April 13, 2026
On July 30, 2025, the U.S. government issued an executive order to terminate duty-free de minimis treatment for goods for consumption imported to the United States by international mail and impose duties on articles other than documents and bona fide gifts valued at 100 US dollars or less, starting August 29, 2025.
In response, from August 27, 2025, we temporarily suspended the acceptance of postal items to the United States containing bona fide gifts with a content value exceeding 100 US dollars and goods intended for sale for consumption.
Subsequently, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced a new rule requiring senders of international postal items to the United States to pay duties to the CBP via Qualified Parties approved by the CBP prior to the arrival of mail items in the United States.
Therefore, starting April 14, 2026, we will resume the acceptance of all postal items to the United States, at all post offices or some designated offices, on condition that senders themselves prepay the duties to the US Customs using the app offered by the company we recommend (certified company) from among the qualified parties approved by the CBP.
Documents and bona fide gifts valued at 100 US dollars or less will remain duty free and can be sent without registering the prepayment of duties.
