Sending mail to Germany

Several cases have occurred where Germany returned letters and printed matter containing articles having a declarable value such as books and calendars because of missing electronic advance data (EAD).
Therefore, when sending articles having a declarable value, we strongly recommend that you transmit EAD by using International My Page Service and send them either as EMS (goods), Parcels, Small Packets, International e-packets or International e-packet light even if the articles can be sent as letters or printed matter.

Please note that the acceptance of some or all kinds of mail items to Germany may be temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic or other international circumstances. Please check the "International mail service availability chart" before sending mail.
