(Follow-up Notice) Removal of the EU Duty-Free Exemption for Goods Valued Below EUR 150

For international mail items destined for the EU and shipped under the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme (Japanese Version Only), customers are requested to refrain from posting items that meet all of the following conditions, as such items may be returned at the discretion of the destination country's customs authorities and postal operators.

Please note that if delivery is delayed or the item is returned due to a decision made by the destination country's customs authorities or postal operators, postal charges will not be refunded.

Conditions

  1. The item is destined for Austria, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, Belgium, Portugal or Luxembourg.
  2. The shipment uses the IOSS scheme.
  3. The total value of the contents is less than EUR 150.
  4. The transaction type is B2C*1,2

*1 A business-to-consumer (B2C) transaction in which a business provides goods or services to an individual consumer.

*2 The sender selects "E-commerce goods" as the contents category when creating the shipping label.

Please also note that shipments to the destination countries above (except Portugal) can be sent through the international courier service UGX (U-Global Express).

Customers interested in using UGX (including sole proprietors) can apply for the service via the Service Application/Inquiry Form*3(Japanese Version Only).
