Changes to International Reply Coupons Design (from September 1, 2013)

International reply coupons of a new design will be available for purchase starting from September 1, 2013.
The price is 150 yen per coupon. In Japan, they can be exchanged into 130 yen-priced postal stamps (per item), international postcards or aerograms.
Purchased international reply coupons as well as those sent from abroad may have a sell-by date. If the coupon in your possession has a mark "A échanger jusqu'au 31.12.2013" (meaning that the sell-by date is December 31, 2013), it has to be exchanged into stamps etc. within the indicated period.
Please be advised that it is impossible to use your coupons if the sell-by date has passed.

  • These rules are according to the Universal Postal Union regulations' amendments.
2 Items sold from January 1, 2002 until August 31, 2006

Until December 31, 2006 Cannot be changed into postal stamps etc.as the exchange period has concluded.
3 Items sold from September 1, 2006 until August 31, 2009

Until December 31, 2009
4 Items sold from September 1, 2009 until August 31, 2013

Until December 31, 2013 Can be exchanged into 130 yen-priced postal stamps etc. per item within the exchange period indicated on the international reply coupon.
5 Items available for sale from September 1, 2013
