FAQ I would like to send mail items to countries requiring number information such as a tax identification number, a passport number or a registration number. Which field are these numbers entered in? |
When sending items containing dutiable articles, some countries require number information such as a tax identification number, a passport number or a registration number. Please check the mailing conditions by country (Japanese Version Only) for details.
The following is the procedure for entering these numbers when creating a shipping label with the International Mail My Page Service.

STEP1
Enter the information requested in each step: "① Select a sender", "② Select a recipient" and "③ Register contents".
STEP2
(For the PC version)
In step "④ Add shipping information", click "+" of "+ Customs declaration/invoice detailed information".
(For the smartphone version)
In step 4 "Shipping Information", tap "Other mailing-related information".
STEP3
Enter the required number in the "TAX code/VAT number" or "Sender's reference number" field in accordance with the description of the mailing conditions by country.

Notes:
- When sending small packets and other letter-post items (for which only a CN22 declaration is printed) or creating a label with the smartphone version, the information entered in the "TAX code/VAT number" field will be transmitted to the destination country as EAD and will not be printed on the label.
- If the required number is not entered or is entered incorrectly, it cannot be transmitted as EAD, even you modify or add the number by hand on the printed label. When sending the item to countries/territories requiring additional numbers as part of the EAD under "mailing conditions by country" etc., please make a new label.

Notes:
- The number entered in the "Sender's reference number" field will be transmitted to the destination country as EAD only and will not be printed on the label.
- If the required number is not entered or is entered incorrectly, it cannot be transmitted as EAD, even you modify or add the number by hand on the printed label.
