Regarding Postal Delays Due to Heavy Snowfalls in Europe, Announcement #4
December 27, 2010
We made a previous announcement on December 22 regarding interference with postal deliveries in parts of Europe caused by heavy snowfalls in the region. As of December 27, since the impact of snow can still be observed, the delays of postal deliveries to Europe are continuing.
We have received announcements about postal delays from the following territories, as the impact of snowfalls there has been particularly strong.
Please note that the deliveries may take a few days longer than usual as the current situation also overlaps with the year-end and new-year holidays.
Countries with snowfalls-related postal delays warnings received (as of December 27)
|Country||Mail Type||Mailing Method|
(EMS, Letter-Post Items, and Postal Parcels)
|Airmail, Surface Mail, and SAL|
Countries in bold letters are those from where we received the warning notices after December 22.
- This information is based on the notices received from each country.
There is a possibility of postal delays for other countries as well, even if no warning notice was received.
