Delays in Mail Delivery to Certain Regions of Canada

Delays are expected in the delivery of international mail and EMS addressed to the areas in Canada listed in the table below due to delay in processing at the Office of Exchange (OE) of Vancouver and subsequent increase in the backlog there.

Furthermore, there may also be delays in the arrival of mail sent from the same areas to Japan.

Air Mail* Areas where the first postal code digit is V, X or Y.
BC: British Columbia (V)
YK: Yukon (Y)
NU: Nunavut (X)
NT: Northwest Territories (X)
Surface Mail Canada (All areas)

*Air Mail includes Letters, Postcards, International Parcel Post, Small packets, International ePacket, Greeting cards, D-mail (priority bulk airmail) and P-mail (non-priority bulk airmail).
