Sending Foods to Brazil by International Postal Service

August 18, 2011

As we already announced through the International Mail Requirements List, based on the notification received from Brazil, the sending of Japanese foods and foods sent from Japan to Brazil is now prohibited.
(Please see the two relevant announcements: "Changes to the International Mail Requirements List" of May 25, 2011 and Sending Foods to Brazil by International Postal Service" of June 20, 2011)

However, cases of the return of international postal items continue to occur, especially of EMS items, including foods sent from Japan to Brazil as a result of Brazil Customs' refusal to import them.

Accordingly, we again inform you that it is now no longer possible to send foods to Brazil by utilizing international postal service.

Also please be informed that the return of the items refused by Customs will result in an expected considerable delay.
