Regarding Postal Delays Due to Heavy Snowfalls in Europe (Continued Announcement)
December 10, 2010
On December 3 we made an announcement regarding interference with the postal deliveries in parts of Europe caused by heavy snowfalls in the region. (http://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/information/2010/1203_01_en.html)
As of December 10, the impact of snowfalls is still observed, and there is a tendency that the delays in delivery of postal items in Europe will increase.
We have received announcements about postal delays from the following territories, as the impact of snowfalls there has been particularly strong.
Please note that the deliveries may take a few days longer than usual as the current situation also overlaps with the Christmas season with the increased number of postal items.
Countries with snowfalls-related postal delays warnings received (As of December 10)
|Country||Mail Type||Mailing Method|
(EMS, Letter-Post Items, and Postal Parcels)
