Shipping Fee Confirmation

Shipping Fee

Shipping fee means "through fare". "Through fare" refers to a combined price that includes customs clearance fee and shipping fee. "Through fare" does not include tariff duty, domestic consumption tax, added-value tax, deposit money, penalty charges, surcharges (hereinafter referred to as "Tariff Duty etc.") as well as customs advance fee and handling fee.

Note Fuel Surcharge Fees

We do not charge fuel surcharge fees.

You may inquire for a through fare quotation when applying for our salesperson visit.

Handling Charges etc.

  • Return Request Fee
    This fee applies when there is a request to return the package after it has been shipped (please note that depending on the transport conditions we may be unable to return the item even if you requested for it and that the return request fee would not be reimbursed to you). You can make a return request using a special form.
  • Forwarding request fee
    This fee applies when there is a request to forward the package after it has been shipped. Forwarding is only possible to a domestic address within the destination country. The addressee cannot be changed (please note that depending on the transport conditions we may be unable to forward the item even if you requested for it and that the forwarding request fee would not be reimbursed to you). You can make a forwarding request using a special form.
  • Return fee
    This fee applies when the package is returned following the return request made by sender or if it could not be delivered to the addressee due to some circumstances.
  • Forwarding fee
    This fee applies when the item is forwarded following the forwarding request made by sender.
  • Disposal fee
    This fee applies when the package could not be delivered due to some circumstances and is disposed of.
  • Customs advance fee
    This fee applies when the Tariff Duty etc., imposed when the package is imported into the country of destination, is paid by our company's agent on behalf of the sender or the addressee.

Invoicing

  • You will receive the invoice including your full past month's shipping fees and handling charges etc. the following month.
  • You will receive the invoice approximately on the 10th of the following month.
  • Please process the payment by wiring the money to the bank account we designate by the last day of the month that you received the invoice (if the last day is a holiday at the bank then on the previous business day).
  • If you receive an acknowledgement for deferred payment in advance, you can process the payment by having the invoiced amount withdrawn from your bank's savings account (the money will be withdrawn from your account on the 20th of the month that you received the invoice; if the last day is a holiday at the bank then on the previous business day).

Note Invoicing

Please note that depending on the timing when the shipping fee is calculated or when the Tariff Duty etc. is imposed, the full invoice may be sent out to you the following month or there may be cases when the shipping fee, Tariff Duty etc., customs advance fee and handling charges will be invoiced to you on the different months.

Customs Clearance

Export and import customs clearance procedures will be carried out by our company's agent designated to perform this functions.

Reference For smooth customs clearance procedures

In order to ensure smooth customs clearance procedures, please submit explanatory materials such as a product catalog etc. in advance if you are sending high-priced items or the same items regularly.

Tariff Duty etc. Payment

Our company's agent will pay the Tariff Duty etc., imposed during import procedures in the country of destination, on behalf of the sender or the addressee. As a rule, the Tariff Duty etc. and relevant customs advance fees paid temporarily by our agent will be charged to the addressee upon the delivery of the package. However, when shipping the package the sender can designate whether it will be sender or addressee to pay these charges.

Tariff Duty etc. Paid by Shipper

Tariff Duty etc. as well as customs advance fees for one full month will be charged to sender together with the shipping fee after the delivery is completed.

Tariff Duty etc. Pay on Delivery

Tariff Duty etc. as well as customs advance fees will be charged to addressee upon delivery.

Note Non-payment of the Tariff Duty etc. by the addressee

If the addressee does not pay the Tariff Duty etc. as well as customs advance fees even if the pay-on-delivery option is selected, these charges will be invoiced to sender.
